The objectives of GuardSHIP are focused on Europe but, in fact, do apply globally. Therefore, GuardSHIP aims at strong international recognition, facilitated by formal cooperation agreement with international partner organisations.
Supported by the European Commission and CESA (Community of European Shipbuilders’ Associations), GuardSHIP has access to participate in and/or influence on bilateral/multilateral IP right protection cooperation programmes, international shipbuilding forums or other relevant international dialogues.
In such context, GuardSHIP will promote shipbuilding IP protection cooperation agreements with third countries aiming at creating win-win solutions: help companies to obtain concrete support from the relevant authorities to handle infringement disputes as well as to help third parties to get access to shipbuilding technology by promoting technology transfer via IP brokerage activities.
